Travel Insurance
A comprehensive travel insurance provider offering various types of coverage to ensure travelers have peace of mind during their trips. Here`s a detailed overview of three types of coverages offered:
1. Standard Travel Protection: 7.0%
Rental Guardian`s Travel Insurance provides coverage for a wide range of unforeseen events that may occur before or during your trip. This travel protection is available to all US resident travelers plus eligible non-US resident travelers. The Standard Travel Protection includes trip cancellation or interruption due to reasons such as illness, injury, or death of the insured, a family member, or a traveling companion. It also typically covers expenses related to emergency medical treatment, evacuation, trip delay, baggage loss or delay, and other travel-related mishaps.
The price of the Standard Travel Protection is 7.0% of the total trip cost and may be purchased at the initial time of booking or up to 30 days before your initial check-in. Travelers may purchase insurance before 30 days if purchases of coverage are at the time of the booking.
2. Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) Insurance: 10.8%
Cancel for Any Reason Insurance is an optional add-on to standard travel insurance policies, offering more flexibility and broader coverage. With CFAR insurance, travelers can cancel their trip for any reason not covered by standard travel insurance policies and receive a partial refund of their prepaid, non-refundable trip expenses. This could include reasons like change of mind, work obligations, or personal emergencies that may not meet the criteria for standard trip cancellation coverage. CFAR insurance typically reimburses a percentage of the trip cost, often around 50-75%, depending on the policy terms.
CFAR is only available to US resident travelers (not available to NY, WA, and NH state residences). The price for the Cancel for Any Reason Insurance is 10.8% of the total cost of the trip. Coverage may be purchased at the initial time of booking or within 14 days of the initial booking. No purchases are allowed for less than 30 days before the check-in date.
3. Accidental Damage Insurance: $59.00
Accidental Damage Insurance provides coverage for accidental damage to rental properties during your stay. This can include damages to furniture, appliances, fixtures, or other items caused by the insured party. Accidental damage insurance helps protect travelers from unexpected costs and disputes with property owners or managers over damage claims. It`s especially valuable for vacation rentals, where accidents can happen, and travelers may be held liable for damages beyond their security deposit.
Rental Guardian`s policies may vary in coverage limits, exclusions, and terms depending on the specific plan chosen and the insurance regulations of the destination country. Travelers need to review the policy documents carefully to understand the coverage provided and any conditions or limitations that may apply. Additionally, travelers should consider their individual needs and preferences when selecting insurance coverage and choose a plan that best fits their travel plans and potential risks.
